Ray weeks - Director
Ray Weeks started bartending in 1987 in the hotel environment. Keen to learn more he attended Bas’ School of bartending in 1992 and certified in the art of cocktail bartending.
His real break came when he was hired at the opening of TGI Fridays flagship store in Haymarket (Leicester Square) later that year. He went through the ranks gaining recognition of best newcomer of the year in 1993 before progressing to head bartender in 1995 the same year as qualifying as a
master bartender.
After commiting himself to competing he turned his attention to training in 3 continents for both TGI Fridays and the Sun International Group, Flying to oslo, brazil, mauritiaus and the seychelles, during which time Ray moved to a more office based job for TGI’s managing all 42 stores drinks, training and bar marketing requirements. For the last 13 years Ray Weeks has been responsible for organising the TGI Fridays Barteam challenge.
