Q. What cocktails do you serve?
A. What cocktails don't we serve?! There are millions of different cocktails. What Movers & Shakers try and do is guide you to a perfect bespoke offering using a simple approach - after all this isn't rocket science! And if you don't see what you want we will be happy to design a special drink just for your occassion. You can see our TOP 20 COCKTAILS here
Q. Do you just serve cocktails?
A. Absolutely not, infact what we advise is a complete bar menu at any event. There's nothing worse than turning up to a party and only having a couple of choices. With our experience we will create a total offering for your guest so that everyone is happy.
Q. Can you theme your bars to go with our party?
A. Yes - The bar can be decorated in any fashion you choose. Working with our designers you can choose any logo style or picture to put on the front of the bar.
Q. Will I get a menu for the evening?
A. Movers & Shakers will create a stylish menu for your evening that can be themed for a bit of fun too - and this is no extra cost EXAMPLE
Q. Do I need to apply for a licence to serve alcohol?
A. If you intend to choose the 'all-inclusive' or tab option i.e. a free bar- then no licence is required- (& usual closing time need not apply!) Otherwise a magistrates license will be needed- we can advise you about this.
Q. How long are your serving times?
A. Our usual serving times are for 6 hours, however we are happy to serve for as long as you wish.... and as licensing restrictions only apply for the 'pay at the bar' option we can usually abolish closing time!- so the party can last as long as your guests!
Q. How long does it take to set the bars up before an event?
A. Movers & Shakers will arrive 3 hours before an event, however if you have over 600 people coming we will need to set-up the day before.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book?
A. As soon as possible! Movers & Shakers cannot guarantee any date until a booking fee is paid to secure a date.
Q. Can we hire just the bartenders?
A. Yes- although they will need special equipment, bars, ingredients (freshly prepared fruit, special juices and mixers, depending upon your menu) and lots of ice to do their job properly. Generally non-trade customers will need an entire party package including the bars & stock. For trade customers our bartenders are also available for special events in clubs, pubs and bars.
Q. Do you carry a safeguard for my floor?
A. Yes we provide plastic sheeting and rubber mats for the area behind the bar.
Q. How many guests can you serve?
A. Our parties range from 10 people round a dinner table to festival bars that serve thousands.
Q. What other services can you provide ?
A. Whilst running a cocktail bar we are also happy to serve reception drinks, or even table service during meals. Because we specialise in fun and parties we have industry contacts who can supply almost anything including music and DJs, entertainers and full catering packages!
